
Military truck strikes tree near Dobre Miasto, overturns; two soldiers injured
A Polish Armed Forces truck hit a tree and rolled onto its side on a local road in Warmian-Masurian voivodeship. The two soldiers travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital with limb injuries.
Accident
On Saturday, 27 June, at around 10:00 a.m., a Polish Armed Forces truck veered off a local road between Jesionowo and Orzechowo (also reported as Jesionowo–Podleśna) near Dobre Miasto in the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship. The driver, for reasons still unknown, struck a roadside tree and the vehicle overturned onto its side. The truck, a Star model, was carrying two soldiers.
The driver left the road for unknown reasons, hit a roadside tree, causing the truck to tip over onto its side.
Emergency response
The Warmian-Masurian fire service dispatched units from both the State Fire Service (PSP) and volunteer brigades (OSP) after receiving the call shortly after 10:00. Firefighters arrived to find the military truck on its side. Both soldiers suffered injuries to their arms and legs. One was taken by an ambulance team, the other by a helicopter from the Polish Medical Air Rescue (LPR). They were transported to hospitals in the region.

Investigation
Police from the Olsztyn municipal command secured the scene and collected evidence. Under Polish law, the Military Gendarmerie (Żandarmeria Wojskowa) will now take over the investigation into the circumstances of the crash. The area is home to several major Polish Army units, including the 16th Pomeranian Mechanised Division headquarters in Olsztyn and multiple mechanised brigades. The truck was operating within a region critical for military logistics.
Police attended the scene, but the Military Gendarmerie will take over further proceedings.
