A refreshed Echo lineup

Amazon unveiled a new round of Echo devices on 28 October 2026, after releasing its products in stages over several weeks. The lineup spans a smart alarm clock, a photo frame with Alexa built in, a redesigned smart display, a speaker with a camera, a new Echo Dot and a 3D home interface called the Alexa Home Map. Amazon presented the devices at a briefing event, and reviewers had hands-on time at a demo event in New York City. The Echo Dot, the Echo Studio with Home Camera and the Echo Time were available at launch or open to order.

Alexa Home Map and Alexa Photo Frame

Amazon describes the Alexa Home Map as a 3D tool for seeing and controlling the home.

“an interactive 3D map that lets you see and control your home.”

The map shows a digital blueprint of the house, with animated icons placed where lights and speakers actually sit, so a user can find a device by its location rather than its name. According to Amazon, the map updates in real time, showing the colour of smart lights and the movement of cars and people in the yard. It also works with outdoor security cameras. An Engadget writer said the visual style was stylised rather than photorealistic and was more inspired by Tesla's Driving Visualization.

The Alexa Photo Frame is Amazon's first digital frame with Alexa built in. It has a 10-inch anti-glare touchscreen set in soft-white matting and real wood, and it adjusts brightness to the ambient light. The frame draws images from Amazon Photos, where Prime members get free photo storage. Alexa+ can pick images with smiles or good lighting, or match the current season, and it filters out screenshots and receipts. Users can choose people whose new photos sync into the rotation automatically, which Amazon presents as a way for relatives to stay current.

“Grandma can see the latest pictures of the grandkids right away.”

Friends and family can also add pictures directly to the device, and voice requests such as showing photos from a trip to Italy work through the assistant.

Echo Show 16, Echo Dot and Echo Studio

The Echo Show 16 has a 16-inch full HD screen, offered in a standard or nanomatte finish that Amazon developed with Corning. Engadget reports that it is nearly 40 percent thinner than the Echo Show 15, with 10 percent more viewing area and 20 percent more computing power. Its wide-angle 13-megapixel camera supports Visual ID recognition up to 17 feet away, up from eight feet on the previous model. The new Echo Dot uses the AZ3 chip for on-device AI voice processing and adds a fourth microphone. It works as a hub for Zigbee, Thread and Matter devices, and it can add up to 1,000 feet of coverage to an existing eero network. The Echo Studio with Home Camera adds a camera that Amazon says does not record footage, used for a live view of the home and for video calls. At the New York demo, Amazon's head of devices, Panos Panay, called his father using the device.

Echo Time and prices

The Echo Time is a bedside alarm clock with a 3.2-inch circular touchscreen and no camera. It has visual indicators when Alexa listens and a button that switches off its microphones completely. Its sleep-sensing feature uses ultrasound and room sensors to wake the user within a window before the set alarm. Engadget puts that window at 10 to 60 minutes, while The Verge says up to an hour. Sleep sensing is opt-in and can be switched off.
