Construction workers renovating a welfare organisation building in Sint-Gillis-Dendermonde, East Flanders, discovered a chest of gold bars and coins worth an estimated 9 million euros walled into a cellar. Police seized the find and the East Flanders prosecution office has opened an investigation into its origin and legal ownership.
