French prosecutors opened an investigation after an 8-year-old boy suffered second-degree burns when a Cool Mix Supergel squishy toy exploded in his face on July 24 in Arcques, Pas-de-Calais. The child requires a skin transplant and remains in a specialized burns unit in Lille.
