
EFET recalls Yfantis stuffed chicken roll after Salmonella detection
The Hellenic Food Authority (EFET) has recalled a batch of Yfantis stuffed chicken roll after routine sampling detected Salmonella spp. Consumers are urged not to consume the product, which carries a use-by date of 8 July 2026.

EFET has ordered the immediate recall of “Stuffed Chicken Roll - Yfantis” (ΓΕΜΙΣΤΟ ΡΟΛΟ ΚΟΤΟΠΟΥΛΟ- ΥΦΑΝΤΗΣ), produced by A & X YFANTIS S.A. The recall covers the entire batch with a use-by date of 8 July 2026 and a weighing date of 24 June 2026.
Detection of Salmonella
The contamination was identified during sampling by EFET’s Attica Regional Directorate as part of the 2026 “Official Control of Microbiological Food Safety Criteria” programme. Laboratory analysis confirmed the presence of the pathogenic microorganism Salmonella spp.
EFET’s response
The authority demanded the immediate withdrawal of the whole batch from the market. Inspections are underway to ensure compliance, with EFET stating that the relevant checks are in progress.
Consumer guidance
Consumers who have purchased the product are strongly advised not to consume it. EFET typically urges returning the item to the point of sale, though no specific return instructions were included in the announcement.
