Wisła Kraków bans hooligan symbols from stadium following fatal attack in Nowa Huta
Club president Jarosław Królewski announced that fans displaying gang slogans or clothing linked to Młoda Ferajna will be immediately ejected from the R22 stadium starting next round.
Stadium security overhaul at Reymonta
Wisła Kraków has instituted strict security rules for its home venue following a violent assault in the city. Club president and majority shareholder Jarosław Królewski announced the measures on Sunday through a post on the X platform. The new policy takes effect from the club's next fixture at the Henryk Reyman Municipal Stadium, known as R22. Under the updated regulations, the club will prohibit all banners, slogans, and clothing items linked to football hooligan groups. Stadium security staff will immediately eject any individuals who attempt to carry or display the forbidden symbols inside the venue.
Investigation into the Nowa Huta attack
The security changes follow the brutal beating and death of a 36-year-old man in the Nowa Huta district of Kraków. Law enforcement authorities and security camera footage identified connections between the suspects and Młoda Ferajna, a hooligan faction active around the club. The club moved quickly to distance itself from anyone involved in the crime, issuing a formal statement condemning all acts of violence and aggression. Królewski stressed that the football ground must remain a safe environment free from criminal organizations and underworld influence.
- A 36-year-old man is beaten in Nowa Huta by perpetrators linked by police to Młoda Ferajna
- Wisła Kraków issues an official statement condemning violence and distancing itself from perpetrators
- Club president Jarosław Królewski specifies symbol bans and immediate stadium ejections on X
- Total prohibition on gang emblems and immediate ejection rules take effect across all stands at R22
Prohibited slogans and clothing items
The ban targets specific group names, acronyms, and hostile messaging across every stand at Reymonta. Prohibited identifiers include the terms "PDW", "anty", and all naming variations associated with "Młoda Ferajna", "Stara Ferajna", "Podstarzała Ferajna", and "W średnim wieku Ferajna". The restrictions apply not only to large banners and flags but also to personal apparel such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, and other clothing. Club management confirmed that venue personnel will enforce the rule without exceptions on all tribunes.
Królewski elaborated on the stadium policy in his message published on Sunday morning.
To clarify yesterday's statement, because in the flood of yesterday's statements this important detail might have been missed and is quite obvious. From the next round at R22, all banners and other items with the slogans 'anty', 'PDW' or 'Młoda/Stara/Podstarzała/W średnim wieku Ferajna' (including these types of shirts and others) will not be permitted in any stand, and those brought in will be removed from Wisła Kraków's stadium immediately together with their owners. In Kraków and other cities there is no shortage of private balconies where such content can be freely displayed. The match lasts only 90 minutes; it is worth using this time to focus on supporting our own team.
Appeals to authorities and football bodies
Alongside the stadium regulations, Wisła Kraków issued an appeal to public authorities and sporting governing bodies. The club called on state institutions and the wider Polish football community to coordinate firm responses to growing problems surrounding hooligan factions. Królewski noted that match duration is 90 minutes meant entirely for supporting the team rather than showcasing underworld associations. The club reiterated that supporters wishing to exhibit gang-related slogans should do so in private spaces rather than public football facilities. The new enforcement protocols will be applied during Wisła Kraków's next league match at R22.
