Two men killed and one critically injured as car hits house wall in Beriáin, Navarra
Two men aged 38 and 23 were killed and a 24-year-old was left in very serious condition after their car left the NA-6009 road in Beriáin, Navarra, and struck the wall of a house at 23:45 on Thursday night.
The accident
A vehicle carrying three men left the road at kilometre 1.6 of the NA-6009 highway in Beriáin, Navarra, at 23:45 on Thursday 13 August 2026, and collided with the concrete wall of a house on Calle Idiazelaia. The driver, aged 38, and the front-seat passenger, aged 23, died at the scene. Emergency services were unable to resuscitate either occupant. The third passenger, a 24-year-old man, sustained very serious polytrauma and was transported by medicalised ambulance to the Hospital Universitario de Navarra in Pamplona, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Emergency response
The SOS Navarra 112 emergency coordination centre received the alert at 23:45 and dispatched firefighters from the Cordovilla station, two advanced life support medicalised ambulances, one basic life support ambulance, the Noáin medical team, and traffic patrols together with the Brigada de Atestados of the Policía Foral. Despite the full deployment, paramedics could do nothing for the two men in the front seats. The 24-year-old was stabilised at the scene before being rushed to hospital.
Investigation and aftermath
The Brigada de Atestados of the Policía Foral has taken charge of the investigation to determine the causes and dynamics of the crash, including how the vehicle left the roadway. The bodies of the two deceased men were transferred to the Instituto Navarro de Medicina Legal, where autopsies will be performed. No further details about the identity of the victims or the circumstances leading to the vehicle leaving the road have been released by authorities as of the morning of 14 August.
