Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce marry at Madison Square Garden in star-studded ceremony officiated by Adam Sandler
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce tied the knot on Friday at New York's Madison Square Garden, with actor Adam Sandler officiating the ceremony before a crowd of nearly 1,000 guests from music, film and sports.
The ceremony
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce married on Friday evening at New York's Madison Square Garden, nearly a year after their engagement was announced in August 2025. The couple exchanged vows before close to 1,000 guests in a ceremony sealed by strict confidentiality agreements and a phone ban. After the vows, screens inside the arena and digital billboards across Manhattan displayed "JUST & T MARRIED," while hundreds of fans cheered outside. The couple's representative later confirmed that the event was officiated by Adam Sandler.
Adam Sandler's role
Actor Adam Sandler officiated the wedding, a choice that surprised many but reflected his friendship with both Swift and Kelce. The bond began when Kelce made a cameo in Sandler's film Happy Gilmore 2.
My daughters adore Taylor, I adore Taylor. Travis is very nice. I wanted to do something with him, so we wrote a part for him.
Kelce later called the experience surreal.
This life is crazy. It's still surreal that I had this opportunity.
Sandler had previously attended Swift's Eras Tour film premiere with his daughters in 2023.
A-list guest list
The guest list read like a Hollywood red carpet. Bradley Cooper, Dakota Johnson, Hugh Grant, Jessica Alba, and Steven Spielberg were among the attendees. Musicians Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran also joined, along with models Gigi Hadid and Karlie Kloss. Selena Gomez, a longtime friend of Swift, attended without her husband Benny Blanco. All guests signed confidentiality agreements and left phones outside, preserving the couple's privacy.
Fashion showcase
Swift wore a Dior haute couture gown designed by Jonathan Anderson, with Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. Guests showcased designer looks: Selena Gomez in Oscar de la Renta, Camila Cabello in Zimmermann, Dakota Johnson in Valentino, and Karlie Kloss in TOVE Studio. The black-tie dress code turned the evening into a fashion showcase.
Notable absence
Blake Lively, once one of Swift's closest friends and godmother to her children, did not attend. Her absence reignited speculation about a rift between the two, reportedly linked to Lively's legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Lively's husband Ryan Reynolds also skipped the event.
