Spain's Extraordinary Vacation Lottery draw offers €140 million in prizes today
The Sorteo Extraordinario de Vacaciones takes place at 13:00 in Madrid, with a special prize of €20 million for a single décimo.
Prize structure
Loterías y Apuestas del Estado holds its annual Sorteo Extraordinario de Vacaciones this Saturday, 4 July 2026, putting €140 million in prizes into play. The standout award is a special prize of €20 million, reserved for one décimo that matches the exact five-digit number, fraction and series. Most sources report a first prize of €2 million per series (€200,000 per décimo), a second prize of €600,000 per series (€60,000 per décimo) and a third prize of €200,000 per series (€20,000 per décimo). One outlet, however, listed a first prize of €600,000 per series and a second prize of €120,000 per series. Additional smaller prizes come from extractions of two, three and four digits, plus reintegros.
How to participate
Décimos cost €20 each, higher than the €15 of most special draws. Sales continue until 12:30 at physical lottery offices, though the online purchase deadline is 11:45 according to one source; another states online sales also close at 12:30. The draw itself lasts about 20 minutes, beginning with four two-digit extractions and ending with two special extractions, using five drums with extractable balls.
Where to watch
The event is held in the Salón de Sorteos in Madrid, without a public audience beyond technical staff. A live stream is available on the official Loterías y Apuestas del Estado website via RTVE coverage. ABC also provides minute-by-minute updates.
Claiming winnings
Winners have three months from the day after the draw to claim prizes. Amounts under €3,000 can be collected at any official point of sale; larger sums require a visit to a collaborating bank. Online purchases are credited directly to the buyer's account.
