Schlagermove returns to Hamburg with up to 400,000 fans and a new Friday concert
Glitter, platform shoes and Schlager hits will fill St. Pauli this weekend as the cult parade returns for its 29th edition, with a redesigned evening programme and a new open-air concert on Friday.
Hamburg is preparing for the Schlagermove, the annual Schlager music parade that transforms St. Pauli into a colourful party mile. Organisers expect between 300,000 and 400,000 visitors, many dressed in 1970s-style costumes, wigs and platform shoes.
What's new this year
For the first time, the event includes a Friday evening open-air concert on the Heiligengeistfeld.
The concert starts at 18:30 with DJ Vossi, Michael Holm, Mike Leon Grosch and Anna-Maria Zimmermann. The official Aftermove party on Saturday also moves to a new venue, the Docks on the Reeperbahn, where DJ Vossi and The Real DJ Maikel will play from 18:00.We have completely redesigned the evening programme.
The main parade
Around 50 decorated music trucks will roll through St. Pauli on Saturday, starting at 15:00 from the Heiligengeistfeld. The route passes the Landungsbrücken, Hafenstraße and Reeperbahn before returning to the start. Schlager singers Peter Orloff, Rosanna Rocci and Achim Petry will perform from the trucks. A free truck party begins on the Heiligengeistfeld at noon.

Traffic and history
Road closures and traffic disruptions are expected across St. Pauli throughout the weekend. The Schlagermove has been held since 1997.
