A vast high-pressure system centered over southern Germany governs most of western and central Europe. Meanwhile, low-pressure centers located over Iceland, the Barents Sea, and eastern Ukraine shape atmospheric conditions across the north-western fringes and parts of eastern Europe. Poland sits within the circulation of the Ukrainian low, accompanied by a secondary pressure center over the Baltic states. An occluding frontal system moves slowly from west to east across the country, allowing a polar maritime air mass to flow across Polish territory while western border areas remain under the stabilising influence of the German high.

Monday brings predominantly overcast skies across Poland, though western districts experience expanding clear spells during the afternoon hours. Scattered rain showers affect several regions throughout the day, with local accumulations in southern Poland reaching approximately 10 mm. Daytime maximum temperatures across most of the country settle between 17°C and 20°C. Cooler conditions prevail along the Baltic coastline, where temperatures reach around 16°C, and in the Carpathian foothills, where thermometers read close to 15°C. Winds blow weak to moderate from the west and north-west, after initially blowing from the south-west in eastern Poland. In Warsaw, atmospheric pressure stands at 1010 hPa at noon, with forecasts indicating a steady barometric rise alongside variable cloud cover and isolated daytime showers.

Overnight cooling and reduced visibility

During the night from Monday to Tuesday, cloud cover in western and central Poland thins out, leading to progressive clearings before dawn. Eastern regions retain heavier cloud cover alongside isolated showers, while central areas may see passing rain early in the night. Lowering temperatures generate strong localized haze and, during the second half of the night, dense fog patches that reduce visibility down to 300 metres. Overnight minimum temperatures range from 7°C to 10°C in western Poland and from 10°C to 13°C in eastern provinces. The Baltic coast remains the mildest region at around 14°C, whereas localized mountain basins in the Sudetes and Bieszczady experience chills dropping to roughly 6°C. Winds remain light, blowing from the west before veering southward in western districts, with periodic moderate gusts along the coastline.

Tuesday marks an improvement in weather conditions for the western half of Poland, where skies turn partly cloudy with low to moderate cloud cover. The eastern half of the country retains moderate to heavy cloudiness accompanied by scattered daytime showers. Maximum afternoon temperatures rise to between 18°C and 22°C across most inland regions. Slightly cooler weather lingers along the Baltic coast at roughly 17°C and throughout the Carpathian foothills at around 16°C. Gentle winds continue, blowing from the south-west and south in western provinces, while north-westerly and westerly breezes in the east turn variable by Tuesday evening.
