Mount Olympus inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Site after unanimous vote in Busan

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee, meeting in Busan, South Korea, voted unanimously on July 26 to inscribe Mount Olympus on its World Heritage List, recognizing the mountain’s exceptional natural beauty, biodiversity, and profound cultural significance. The decision concludes a Greek campaign that began with a formal proposal in 2014.
