Ballistic strikes hit Kyiv warehouse
Russian ballistic missile strikes struck targets in Ukraine overnight, causing explosions in the capital city of Kyiv and in the southern region of Mykolaiv. In Kyiv, residents reported hearing multiple detonations across several parts of the city throughout the nighttime attack. The Kyiv Military Administration stated that an incoming missile hit a commercial warehouse situated in the capital's Darnytskyi district. The impact ignited an immediate fire within the facility, leaving one person dead and several others wounded. Municipal rescue services and emergency teams deployed to the scene to extinguish the blaze and begin clearing rubble from the site. Local authorities launched damage verification procedures to assess structural destruction across the impacted area.
Fatalities and child casualties in Mykolaiv
In the southern region of Mykolaiv, Russian strikes caused four fatalities during the nighttime attack. Three of the victims who lost their lives were children, marking the majority of the casualties in the southern strike. Ukrainian Interior Minister Ivan Vohivski confirmed the casualties in a public statement published on his official Telegram channel. Vohivski reported that preliminary data identified two of the deceased children as 11-year-olds, while the third child was 12 years old. Emergency medical personnel and local rescue services were dispatched immediately to the affected areas to attend to victims and assess the surrounding perimeter.
Russian forces attacked the Mykolaiv region during the night. Four people died, among them three minors. According to preliminary data, two of the children were 11 years old and the third 12. A shop, a pharmacy and a post office caught fire. Our units are at the scene gathering all the information.
Destruction of civilian infrastructure
The bombardment in Mykolaiv caused direct hits and fires across several civilian establishments in the area. Official reports indicated that the strikes set fire to a local shop, an active pharmacy, and a postal station. Firefighting teams worked through the night to extinguish the blazes across all three commercial and public service structures. Ukrainian police and investigative units deployed directly to the struck locations to collect fragments of the munitions and document the damage.
