The prize recognizes long-standing cooperation between Spain and Portugal, celebrating shared values and global ties across Europe and other continents.
It is an award given to what is common to us, in Europe, and in the world. We have strong diasporas, we have strong languages around the world, we have a strong presence in Europe and on all continents and that is a reality that is valid today, valid tomorrow, valid always.
