Russian ballistic missiles hit Kyiv
In the early hours of Sunday, at least two people were wounded when Russian ballistic missiles struck the Ukrainian capital. Tymour Tkatchenko, head of the Kyiv military administration, confirmed the casualties. AFP journalists in the city reported hearing explosions and seeing flashes as air defences engaged. The mayor called on residents to remain in shelters.
Drone debris and artillery cause casualties elsewhere
Further north in Chernihiv, two people were injured by falling drone debris inside a school compound, according to the city council. On Saturday, seven civilians were wounded across the Kherson region from artillery fire and drone attacks. The previous day, Russian strikes killed two people in the Dnipropetrovsk and Sumy regions.

A separate Ukrainian drone attack described as “massive” struck the Krasnodar region of southern Russia early Sunday. One person was killed and another wounded. The assault set ablaze an oil refinery in the town of Slavyansk-on-Kuban.
