Speaking after the presentation, Kane reflected on the shared success of the campaign.
I think this one tastes even better than the first, considering what we achieved with the team. Winning three trophies, the Bundesliga, the German Cup and the Supercup, is something special.

Premier League return and contract talks
During his media appearances following the award ceremony, Kane addressed persistent speculation regarding a potential return to English football. Kane left Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich in 2023 for an 86.4 million pound fee, leaving him on 213 Premier League goals, 47 goals behind Alan Shearer's competition record of 260. While he initially anticipated returning to England, Kane stated that the desire has faded as his family settled in Munich. Kane's contract at Bayern runs until 2027, with formal discussions on a renewal scheduled to open soon. Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl confirmed mutual interest in extending the partnership.
I believe he feels comfortable. We are super happy that he is with us. Now it is about clarifying the modalities, which are part of football. But I think the conditions are not so bad.
Ballon d'Or outlook and upcoming season
Kane's 73-goal campaign has positioned him among the leading contenders for the Ballon d'Or, scheduled to take place on 26 October in London. Bayern Munich chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen commended the forward's contributions across every competition, while former England defender Rio Ferdinand publicly endorsed him for the honour. Kane noted that while winning the award would be welcome, his immediate priority remains preparation for the new season under Bayern's coaching staff. Bayern Munich opens its 2026–2027 Bundesliga campaign on 28 August against VfB Stuttgart.
