Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane scored twice in a 7-0 victory against 1. FC Union Berlin, reaching 100 Bundesliga goals in 98 matches to surpass Dieter Müller's 1977 milestone.
Century milestone at Allianz Arena
Bayern Munich forward Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 100 goals in Bundesliga history on 18 September 2026, reaching the milestone in his 98th league match. The 33-year-old striker achieved the mark during a 7-0 victory against 1. FC Union Berlin at a sold-out Allianz Arena attended by 75,000 supporters. Kane surpassed the previous competition record of 129 matches, set by 1. FC Köln forward Dieter Müller on 24 September 1977. Across Europe's top five leagues (Germany, England, Spain, France, and Italy), only Cristiano Ronaldo reached 100 league goals faster, doing so in 92 matches for Real Madrid.

Seven-goal defeat for Union Berlin
The match opened the fourth round of the Bundesliga season on the eve of Munich's 191st Oktoberfest, with Bayern wearing a special Wiesn kit. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring for the hosts in the 18th minute, placing a shot past Danish goalkeeper Frederik Rönnow. In the 38th minute, Union Berlin defender Tom Rothe brought down Michael Olise in the penalty area, allowing Kane to score from the penalty spot in the 39th minute for his 100th league goal. Olise added Bayern's third before halftime with a shot into the top corner, and Kane headed in his second of the match in the 54th minute to reach 101 league goals. Olise completed a hat-trick, while substitute Ismael Saibari scored his first Bayern goal in the 70th minute. Mauro Lustrinelli's Union Berlin remained winless with one point and a 4:17 goal difference, while Bayern temporarily took top spot in the table with 10 points.

Individual honours and Ballon d'Or race
Kane entered the fixture after a 2025–26 season in which he scored 61 goals in 51 matches for Bayern, helping the team win a domestic double and receiving the German Footballer of the Year award from kicker magazine. Across club and international competitions that season, Kane recorded 73 goals for Bayern and England, the second-highest single-season tally behind Lionel Messi's 82 goals in 2011–12.
