47-year-old driver dies after train hits car at level crossing in Suceava

A 47-year-old man died on Sunday morning after a passenger train struck his car at a level crossing in the village of Prelipca, Suceava county, according to the Suceava Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU). The collision occurred around 07:00 local time on 12 July 2026.

Emergency response

On arrival, responders found the victim already outside the vehicle, unconscious and without vital signs. Medical and paramedical staff immediately began resuscitation efforts.
