What happened
Around 22:00 on 25 July 2026, during Berlin’s Christopher Street Day Pride event, a van drove at high speed into a crowd near the Tiergarten district. Suspect and investigation
Police identified the driver as Abdul B., a 21-year-old male described as slim, about 1.90 metres tall, with black hair, wearing a black hoodie and white trousers. Investigators link him to Islamist circles. An image of the man sought by authorities was circulated, and the public was advised not to approach him but to call the emergency number 110.
It is not yet clear whether one or more suspects have been stopped or whether arrests have been made.
