
Belgium forecasts mild 24 °C highs on Tuesday before mid-week rain and cooling
Belgium will see sunny skies and unseasonable warmth of up to 24 °C on Tuesday, before an incoming front brings rain and a ten-degree temperature drop later in the week.
Morning mist and fog patches across Flanders and Antwerp will clear towards the coast on Tuesday, giving way to sunny skies across most of Belgium. Morning temperatures started near 10 °C in most regions, registering 7 °C in Namur and Charleroi, 9 °C in Liège and Mons, 10 °C in Brussels, and 13 °C along the coast. Afternoon highs are expected to reach between 19 °C and 24 °C, with 19 °C at the sea, 20 °C to 22 °C in the east and south, 23 °C in Namur, and 24 °C in Couvin. Cloud cover will increase from the west and south overnight, with minimum temperatures between 8 °C and 12 °C.
Conditions will deteriorate starting Wednesday afternoon as rain arrives from the French border around 15:00 to 16:00. The disturbance will cross the country through Wednesday night, producing rainfall totals between 10 mm and 25 mm while daytime temperatures remain mild between 18 °C and 23 °C. Behind the front on Thursday, temperatures will drop by up to 10 °C, keeping highs between 10 °C and 14 °C alongside northwest wind gusts reaching 50 km/h and frequent showers. A second disturbance on Friday will bring additional rainfall, with temperatures between 9 °C and 18 °C from south to west.
