Market recovery and premier boatbuilders
During the event presentation held on 30 September 2026 at the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona, organizers pointed to growing demand across the recreational boating industry. Boat show president Luis Conde noted that corporate interest reflects an expanding sector after years of recovery following the 2008 financial downturn. Large international shipyards will anchor the exhibition, led by France's Beneteau Group with its Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, and Excess brands. Other confirmed builders include Mercury, Fjord, Bluegame, Navan, Quicksilver, Sea Ray, and X-Yachts, while luxury yacht makers Oyster, Amel, and YYachts return to the Barcelona docks after several years away.
We are looking at one of the best editions of recent years, with an exceptional offering in terms of quality, diversity of models, and variety of lengths.
Sustainable propulsion at Innovation Dock
A central addition to the 2026 fair is the Innovation Dock, a dedicated showcase focused on zero-emission maritime mobility. The zone features around a dozen companies displaying fully electric boats, propulsion units, and nautical accessories. Visitors can view technical demonstrations on land and participate in on-water trials designed to evaluate electric systems with reduced noise and environmental impact. Organizers also expanded sea trial options across the harbour basin for prospective buyers assessing conventional and alternative vessels before purchase.

Broadening access for younger sailors
Beyond direct yacht sales, the trade fair is restructuring its program to engage younger demographics and entry-level boaters. Newly licensed skippers will receive free admission to encourage newcomers entering nautical leisure. The exhibition features a dedicated indoor pavilion split between 240 marina and port facilities and a 1,500-square-metre zone for diving, water sports, and maritime lifestyle exhibits. Visitors can also test equipment directly on the water in the Experience Water area or attend an on-site rowing competition and the Agora-Port conference series. Event organizers aim to top the 18,000 attendees recorded in 2025.
We want to focus on making it a great space for the buying and selling of boats.
