The Community of Madrid has presented a ten-year restoration plan for the Sierra Oeste, with about 25 million euros budgeted for 2026 and 2027. It also offered to connect Aldea del Fresno and Villa del Prado to the Canal de Isabel II water network after fire damage to their local wells.
