Istvan Kovacs will referee 1,000th World Cup match, Tunisia vs Japan, with special golden kit
Romanian referee Istvan Kovacs will officiate his first World Cup match on Sunday, and it happens to be the 1,000th in tournament history. FIFA has given him a special golden-striped jersey for the Tunisia-Japan group-stage clash in Monterrey.
