Train drivers attacked, police officer hospitalised as three violent incidents strike southern Germany

Bad Kreuznach: drunk man turns on rescuers
A 48-year-old man was found unconscious in the pedestrian zone of Bad Kreuznach. When medical staff approached, he became violent. "When the rescue workers approached the man, he behaved extremely aggressively towards them," the police said. Officers arriving at the scene also faced aggression, with the man loudly chanting slogans with seditious content. No injuries to emergency personnel were reported.

Rheinfelden: train driver choked and thrown
At Rheinfelden station, a passenger repeatedly blocked the doors of a regional train at Wyhlen station earlier in the journey. After the driver announced the door blocking as the cause of delay, the suspect allegedly punched him in the face, choked him, and threw him across the platform. The Bundespolizei confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing. The age of the suspect was not disclosed.
Schwäbisch Gmünd: driver pushed onto tracks, police station assault
A 29-year-old man caused a disturbance on a train at Schwäbisch Gmünd station, pushed the driver onto the tracks, and later attacked police officers in custody. Officers took him to the station, where he charged at several of them, striking one repeatedly on the head. That officer was taken to hospital. The attacker also sustained injuries. Police said they are investigating him for assault on law enforcement officers and bodily harm.
An officer was hit multiple times on the head and injured.
