Fifth edition of Tim Summer Hits brings over 80 artists to Rome’s Piazza del Popolo for four free concerts

The free festival, running from June 21 to 24 in Piazza del Popolo, will feature more than 80 Italian artists and will be broadcast on Rai 1 in July.

The festival at a glance

The fifth edition of Tim Summer Hits will take over Rome’s historic Piazza del Popolo from Sunday June 21 to Wednesday June 24, 2026. Admission is free for all four evenings, and live performances will begin each night in one of the capital’s most iconic squares. Hosting the event for the second consecutive year are veteran presenter Carlo Conti and radio host Andrea Delogu. The full lineup was unveiled on Tuesday June 16 at a press conference held at Rome’s Campidoglio.

I am always relaxed, but this year my ears are more rested because I don’t have to listen to 5,000 songs.

Conti joked, referring to his role as artistic director of the Sanremo music festival earlier in the year.

From stage to screen: TV and radio broadcast

Those unable to attend in person can watch the concerts on Rai 1, which will air the four evenings in prime time on Friday July 17, Tuesday July 21, Friday July 24, and Friday July 31. A special episode, “Tim Summer Hits the Best Of,” will compile the most memorable moments from the festival and air on Friday August 7. The event will also be broadcast simultaneously on Rai Radio2, with backstage interviews and exclusive content hosted by Nicol Angelozzi, and will be available on demand on RaiPlay.

A star‑studded lineup

More than 80 Italian artists will take the stage over the four days, mixing established names with emerging talents. Among them are Achille Lauro, Annalisa, Emma, Tommaso Paradiso, Fedez, Francesca Michielin, and Alex Britti. Anticipated performances include Achille Lauro’s “In viaggio verso il Paradiso,” a trio cover of “Al mio paese” by Serena Brancale, Delia, and Levante, and newcomer Lorenzo Salvetti (winner of Amici 25) with “Dimmelo tu.” Francesca Michielin will debut her new single “Strega comanda,” while Sanremo 2026 breakthroughs Samurai Jay (“Ossessione”) and Fred De Palma (“La testa gira”) bring their summer hits. Comedic interludes will be provided by Federico Basso and Cristiano Militello. The festival promises a snapshot of the Italian pop summer, from radio staples to live rarities.
