Rescue operation

The Emergency Response Number 199 received an alert, and the Ermoupoli Fire Department immediately dispatched five firefighters and a single fire truck to the scene. Using specialist rescue equipment, they extracted the man from the well and handed him over to an ambulance crew from the National Centre for Emergency Care (EKAB). The whole operation was completed just before 19:00.
