The German Weather Service forecasts dry, sunny conditions across Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Hesse following recent thunderstorms, with temperatures rising toward mid-week.
Following periods of rain and thunderstorms, sunny conditions are returning to Rhineland-Palatinate, Saarland, and Hesse, according to the Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD). Cloud fields moved eastward over the weekend, leading to mostly dry and bright weather across the three German states.
On Sunday, 23 August, temperatures are forecast to reach highs between 19 and 24 degrees Celsius in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, and between 19 and 23 degrees Celsius in Hesse under mostly sunny skies with isolated clouds. The warming trend continues on Monday, 24 August, with sunny to fair weather and maximum temperatures between 22 and 27 degrees Celsius in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland, while Hesse reaches between 22 degrees in the north and 26 degrees in the south.
By Tuesday, 25 August, temperatures will remain warm, reaching 24 to 27 degrees Celsius across the region. However, the DWD expects denser cloud cover and isolated showers or thunderstorms with heavy rain to arrive from the southwest later in the day.
