The Spanish meteorological agency has issued weather warnings for Saturday, 3 October 2026, with Catalonia on orange alert and widespread storms forecast from Andalusia to Castile and León.
Regional rain and storm warnings across Spain
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) forecasts widespread atmospheric instability across mainland Spain and the Balearic Islands on Saturday, 3 October 2026. By the afternoon, locally intense showers accompanied by hail will develop across the Sistema Ibérico, the southeastern mountain ranges, the Pyrenees, and the northwestern quadrant. Coastal Mediterranean areas and the Balearic Islands are projected to experience very strong precipitation, even as overall rain volumes across the peninsula moderate compared to previous days. In the Canary Islands, cloudy skies will persist over northern slopes with light rain in mountainous zones, while calima dust persists alongside moderate trade winds.
