FC Porto played their first pre-season friendly of the 2026/27 campaign at the CTFD Jorge Costa in Olival, behind closed doors, drawing 1-1 with Hibernian. The match was split into two 45-minute halves. Porto, who have only 10 days of training, started strongly and controlled the first half.

Porto had three goals disallowed during the match: two by Borja Sainz and one by Victor Froholdt. They also hit the woodwork twice, with Alan Varela striking the crossbar and Gabri Veiga hitting the post from a direct free-kick. Despite the disallowed goals, Sainz opened the scoring in the first half, finishing off an assist from his compatriot Gabri Veiga.

Hibernian, who have been in pre-season for nearly a month and are further along in their preparation for the upcoming Conference League qualifiers, equalised in the second half through Felix Passlack. The Scottish side will begin their competitive season on 23 July with a second qualifying round match.

Several players were unavailable due to injury, including Samu, André Miranda and Vasco Sousa, while others like João Afonso, Gonçalo Ribeiro, Gabriel Brás, Prpic, Yoan Pereira, Eirik Granaas, Bernardo Silva, Mateus Mide and Duarte Cunha were rested.
