UEFA has appointed French referee Jérémie Pignard and an all-French officiating crew for Monday's Nations League match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland in Zenica.
French officiating team assigned for Zenica fixture
European football governing body UEFA has appointed 39-year-old French referee Jérémie Pignard to officiate the upcoming UEFA Nations League match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Poland. The matchday four fixture will be held on Monday in the city of Zenica. UEFA confirmed that Pignard will be supported by an all-French refereeing delegation throughout the fixture. Aurélien Drouet and Hicham Zakrani have been assigned as the two assistant referees on the touchlines. Jérémy Stinat will perform the duties of the fourth official on the sideline. The video assistant referee operations will be handled by Willy Delajod as the primary VAR official, alongside Mathieu Vernice serving in the assistant VAR capacity.
International career and previous club assignments
Pignard has been an accredited FIFA international referee since 2019 and regularly presides over domestic league fixtures in France's Ligue 1. The scheduled match in Zenica marks the first time that Pignard will referee a senior international game involving either Poland or Bosnia and Herzegovina. The referee has previously crossed paths with a Polish side only once in European club competition nearly one year ago. In October 2025, Pignard was the referee for a UEFA Europa Conference League group encounter between Polish club Legia Warsaw and Turkish side Samsunspor, which concluded in a 0-1 home defeat for Warsaw. Outside league fixtures, his recent assignments in French football include refereeing the French Super Cup, where RC Lens defeated Paris Saint-Germain by a 1-0 scoreline.
