In brief
Lego and Daft Punk announced an official set based on the 2007 Alive tour pyramid stage, with more news promised for 2027. The set has about 2,000 pieces in its fan-built form, while price and release date remain unannounced.
The design began as a fan project from a father and son from Luxembourg, per Engadget and Pitchfork. It gained 10,000 supporters, according to The Verge, after beating more than 500 competing projects in the LEGO Ideas contest, according to TVP Info.

The announcement
Lego and Daft Punk revealed a collaboration that will turn the pyramid stage from the duo's 2007 Alive tour into an official set, with Lego's designers working on the final version alongside fan creator Patrick Harboun, who goes by RobotRock. The reveal began with a teaser on the duo's "WDPK 83.7" YouTube stream, which showed a red holographic speaker that became a Lego brick. A short announcement video follows the brick's glow into a dark landscape, where the two musicians' minifigures appear beside a console, with "Voyager" and "Human After All" on the soundtrack.
From fan model to production
The original model was a lockdown-era project by a father and son from Luxembourg, according to Engadget and Pitchfork, while The Verge, citing Variety, names a father-son duo from Belgium. Its glowing pyramid has about 2,000 pieces, and a motorized, rotating box of transparent bricks inside recreates the look of the tour's stage. Engadget says the design won Lego's Music to Our Ears contest in 2020. TVP Info reports that the entry beat more than 500 competing projects in the LEGO Ideas contest and that the final set will differ from the submitted work. The Verge reports that the design gathered 10,000 supporters before Lego approved it for production.
Statement from Daft Punk's creative director
Pitchfork identifies Cédric Hervet as a longtime Daft Punk creative director, and he said in a statement:
“The pyramid stage is one of the most recognisable expressions of Daft Punk's visual world, so it feels fitting that this fan-created design will be centre stage of this partnership.”
He added that the company was excited to see the fans' creativity reflected in the Lego universe. Pitchfork says the set arrives five years after the duo split, and that the pair are probably no closer to a reunion. The same outlet places Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo alongside the Beatles and the Spice Girls among musicians who have become plastic bricks.
Band projects since the split
TVP Info says Daft Punk ended their joint work in 2021, but new projects have appeared regularly since then. The debut album Homework was reissued in 2022, and a tenth-anniversary edition of Random Access Memories followed in 2023. The animated musical film Interstella 5555 was re-released in 2024, the same year the duo appeared as Lego figures performing "Get Lucky" in the Pharrell Williams film Piece By Piece, according to Engadget. In 2025 the characters of both musicians appeared in Fortnite, and in 2026 Bangalter released the album Mirage - Ballet for 16 Dancers and played Alexandra Palace in London with Fred again.. Homem-Christo's name is linked to the music for the upcoming game Grand Theft Auto VI.
What is still unknown
Lego has not announced a price, a release date or other details of the set. TVP Info reports that the final version will differ from the fan's original submission. Lego's marketing chief, Julia Goldin, described the announcement as just the beginning of a bigger journey aimed at fans. The company has said that more news will come in 2027.
