President Nicușor Dan published his asset declaration for fiscal year 2026 on 30 June, a 33-page document filed with the Presidential Administration. The declaration covers his personal wealth, income, loans, and a detailed list of nearly 400 individuals who financed his successful 2025 presidential bid.
Real estate and vehicles
The president does not own a home and is known to reside in a rented property. His only real property is a 7,460 square metre plot of land in Predeal, Brașov county, purchased in 2007. He drives a Citroën manufactured in 1986, acquired through a standard sale contract; it is his sole vehicle.
Bank accounts and income
Dan holds four bank accounts. The oldest, opened at BCR in 2007, contains 37,121.20 lei. Two accounts at Banca Transilvania, opened in 2025, together hold 1,248,092.24 lei and 167.28 euros. A fourth account at Salt Bank has a zero balance. His declared income for the past fiscal year includes 127,146 lei from his former position as mayor of Bucharest and 93,567 lei as president. He also lists child allowance payments of 3,504 lei per child.
Debts and loans
The declaration shows three outstanding debts. A 100,000 euro loan from Garanti Bank is due in 2032, while two personal loans of 27,000 euros and 25,000 euros, borrowed from Gentiana Dănilă and Claudia Dan respectively, mature in 2028. Dan also reports lending 20,000 euros to Gabriel Istrate, without specifying a repayment deadline.
Campaign financing
The largest section, 29 of the document’s 33 pages, lists the donors who supported Dan’s presidential run in 2025. In total, 387 individual donations were recorded, with amounts ranging from 3,000 lei to 810,000 lei.
