Missing 81-year-old woman found dead after fall in Waltensburg, Graubünden

The woman was alone in the Breil/Brigels area and could not be reached, prompting a missing-person report to the Graubünden cantonal police shortly before 8 p.m. on Friday. A ground and air search was launched and eventually narrowed the area to Waltensburg.

The body was discovered on Saturday at around 9:30 a.m. in steep terrain near the locality of Spral. The fall was over 40 metres, according to the police. The public prosecutor's office, together with the police, has opened an investigation into the exact circumstances of the fall.
