Victim's actions and emergency response
Despite his injury, the wounded man was able to walk to the nearby KTEL Macedonia intercity bus station. From there, he used his phone to call the Hellenic Police's immediate response line, known as Amessi Drasi, and reported that he had been shot. The call was made shortly after the attack. Police units and an ambulance from the National Centre for Emergency Care (EKAV) rushed to the bus station. Officers located the 35-year-old at the scene, conscious and with a visible gunshot wound. Medical condition
The victim was transported by EKAV ambulance to Hippokrateio Hospital, one of Thessaloniki's public hospitals. Medical staff determined that he had sustained a bullet wound to the abdominal region.
