Spain's Lotería Nacional holds Saturday draw with €42 million prize pool, €60,000 per winning décimo
The Lotería Nacional draw scheduled for 13:00 on 27 June 2026 will distribute €42 million across more than 4.1 million prizes, with a first prize of €600,000 per series (€60,000 per décimo).
The draw and its prizes
The weekly Lotería Nacional draw takes place this Saturday, 27 June 2026, at the Salón de Sorteos de Loterías y Apuestas del Estado in Madrid. The event, scheduled for 13:00 local time, will put €42 million in prizes into play, according to the organising body SELAE. A first prize of €600,000 will be awarded per series, equivalent to €60,000 for each winning décimo. The second prize is set at €120,000 per series, or €12,000 per décimo.
Beyond the two top awards, the draw includes a cascade of secondary prizes. Two extractions for the numbers immediately before and after the first prize will pay €10,000 per series (€1,000 per décimo), while the anterior and posterior of the second prize pay €5,540 per series (€554 per décimo). Four four-digit extractions award €1,500 per series, ten three-digit wins yield €300 per series, and nine two-digit prizes pay €120 per series. Two reintegro numbers will each return €60.
How to participate and collect
Tickets, known as décimos, cost €6 each and were on sale at official lottery outlets until 30 minutes before the draw (12:30). Online purchases via the Loterías y Apuestas del Estado website closed earlier, at 11:45. Collecting a prize depends on the amount won. For prizes up to €2,000, winners can claim the cash directly at any lottery administration. Amounts between €2,000 and €3,000 require presentation of ID at a collaborating bank, while higher sums must also be processed through a bank, with the money paid by transfer or cheque. Prizes from online purchases are deposited automatically into the winner's account.
Tax implications
The Spanish tax authority, Agencia Tributaria, applies a 20% withholding on any prize exceeding €40,000. In this draw, only the first prize (€60,000 per décimo) reaches that threshold, meaning the winner will receive €48,000 after tax, while all other prizes are fully exempt.
A centuries-old institution
The Lotería Nacional is one of Europe's oldest state lotteries, with some records pointing to its first draw in December 1763, although official documentation often cites the 19th century. This Saturday's décimo bears an illustration dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM), continuing the lottery's custom of commemorating cultural and institutional milestones on its tickets.
