A NATO spokesperson said the object was sighted in the vicinity of a Ukrainian aircraft, a cargo plane operated by Antonov Airlines. Police secured the device during the night. Airport response and diversions

Partial reopening and investigation
The north section of the airport resumed operations early Wednesday morning. Flight traffic restarted at 01:55, running exclusively on the northern runway since then. The southern runway remains closed to allow investigators to search for evidence.
A bomb disposal robot was deployed to examine the suspicious object found near the south runway. Police stated there is no acute danger to the public. State and federal police are jointly investigating.
