Bremer header gives Juventus 1-0 win over Frosinone in Spalletti Serie A debut
Gleison Bremer scored a 22nd-minute header from a Francisco Conceicao cross as Luciano Spalletti began his Juventus tenure with a 1-0 Serie A victory at Stadio Benito Stirpe.
Early dominance and opening goal
Juventus opened their Serie A season with a 1-0 victory over newly promoted Frosinone at Stadio Benito Stirpe. Manager Luciano Spalletti deployed an attacking starting line-up, using full-backs Pierre Kalulu and Zeki Celik, who was selected on the left flank ahead of Andrea Cambiaso, to push forward. In midfield, Manuel Locatelli and Douglas Luiz pressed high in the attacking third, while Weston McKennie operated alongside Randal Kolo Muani in a 4-2-4 formation. The visitors produced 11 shots and nine corners while conceding zero corner kicks during the first half. The decisive moment occurred in the 22nd minute when Francisco Conceicao delivered a cross into the penalty box. Gleison Bremer beat Frosinone goalkeeper Lorenzo Palmisani to the ball with a header, scoring Juventus's first league goal of the season.

Unconverted chances and attacking pressure
Juventus continued to dictate play but struggled to convert their territorial dominance into a wider margin. Kolo Muani failed to capitalise on a clear chance during the opening half and saw another effort denied in first-half stoppage time. Late in the opening period, Kalulu struck the woodwork with a shot, and Palmisani produced a quick save to deny Kenan Yildiz on the rebound. The second half maintained the same dynamic, with Conceicao acting as the primary offensive outlet on the right wing. In the 51st minute, Celik set up Conceicao inside the penalty area, but the Portuguese winger sent his shot over the crossbar when facing Palmisani alone. Conceicao threatened again in the 66th minute, bypassing his defender before firing a 20-metre effort that missed the post by inches.
Squad rotations and defensive shift
Frosinone manager Massimiliano Alvini made four quick substitutions in the second half, bringing on Alessio Zerbin and Luis Hasa to push the home side further up the pitch and apply pressure on the Juventus backline. To counter the shift and protect the slim advantage, Spalletti transitioned Juventus into a compact 4-4-2 shape. He introduced Cambiaso, Edon Zhegrova, and Jeremie Boga, followed by Teun Koopmeiners in place of Douglas Luiz. Koopmeiners immediately created an opportunity with an incisive pass to Kolo Muani, who was unable to finish from close range. Goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, making his competitive debut for Juventus, secured his clean sheet by stopping several late attempts on target.
Stoppage-time woodwork hit and three points
The closing minutes saw Frosinone push heavily into the Juventus defensive third, forcing the visitors to clear multiple aerial balls under pressure. In the 92nd minute, Bremer cleared an inswinging cross from Giacomo Calo out for a corner kick. On the ensuing delivery, Antonio Raimondo jumped above the Juventus defence and directed a header against the post. The final whistle sealed a 1-0 win for Spalletti in his first official Serie A match with the club. Although title contenders Inter and Napoli recorded wider scoring margins in their opening fixtures, Juventus secured three points through Bremer's header and defensive resilience.
