Hull City signs Ilyas Ansah for €24 million as clubs complete deadline deals

Premier League newcomer Hull City completed the signing of 21-year-old German under-21 international forward Ilyas Ansah from 1. FC Union Berlin. Ansah passed his medical and signed a contract running until 2031. The overall package, including potential bonus payments, is valued at around €24 million, making Ansah the most expensive sale in Union Berlin history. The fee surpasses the €20.5 million Nottingham Forest paid for Taiwo Awoniyi in 2022. Ansah joined the Berlin club from SC Paderborn in summer 2025 for roughly €4 million, recording five goals across 33 Bundesliga appearances during the 2025–2026 campaign.

RB Leipzig finalized the transfer of Spanish striker Marc Guiu from Chelsea for a total package of approximately €17 million including realistic bonuses. Tottenham Hotspur moved to restructure its central defense on Tuesday by opening medical checks for 28-year-old center-back Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea. The arrival of Adarabioyo enabled Tottenham to authorize the departure of Austrian defender Kevin Danso, who underwent a medical after reaching a basic agreement with AFC Sunderland. In continental Europe, Ajax Amsterdam progressed in negotiations to sign former German international Thilo Kehrer on loan from AS Monaco.
