Tom Holland and Zendaya to visit El Hormiguero next week in a season-closing coup for Pablo Motos
Pablo Motos announced on air that the Spider-Man stars will appear together on the Spanish talk show next week, marking their first joint interview on Spanish television.

Pablo Motos opened his 9 June programme by revealing that Tom Holland and Zendaya will visit the El Hormiguero set next week. The host overrode instructions from production, with puppet sidekicks Trancas and Barrancas warning him that the announcement was forbidden. "No, Pablo. Está prohibido. Han dicho que no anuncies nada de eso," Barrancas told him on air, according to El Confidencial. Motos pressed ahead regardless, telling the audience the booking was too significant to hold back.

The pair will appear as the programme builds toward its season finale. El Mundo notes that the visit recalls the frenzy surrounding Chris Hemsworth's 2023 appearance, when Queen Letizia and her daughters watched from backstage. The programme has a two-decade track record of attracting Hollywood names including Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Charlize Theron, and Justin Bieber.
The guests
Holland and Zendaya are the leads of the Spider-Man franchise and one of the most discussed celebrity couples globally. Their joint appearances on US television routinely dominate social media conversation in the days that follow, El Mundo reports. The El Hormiguero interview will be their first together on a Spanish set.
Both actors have projects to promote. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled for a summer release. Zendaya recently completed a photo session with Robert Pattinson for The Drama, a film in which they co-star. The El Hormiguero appearance is expected to cover both upcoming releases.
Marriage speculation
Several Spanish outlets report persistent rumours that the couple have married in secret. 20 minutos notes that Zendaya was photographed in Los Angeles wearing what appeared to be a wedding band, and that the 5.2-carat engagement ring she displayed at the 2025 Golden Globes has not been seen since. Law Roach, a friend of Zendaya, told Access Hollywood that "la boda ya se ha celebrado" and that the public missed it because it was private. No official confirmation has been issued.
Production muscle
The booking is being framed across Spanish media as a demonstration of El Hormiguero's production reach. 20 minutos calls it proof of the programme's "enormous muscle" in attracting international talent. El Periódico describes the interview as one of the most sought-after in current television. The programme airs on Antena 3 in the late-night slot and has been on air for 20 years.
