
Body of 27-year-old Egyptian man found in Hamburg forest; police treat death as suspected homicide
A 27-year-old Egyptian man was found dead in a wooded area near a golf course in Hamburg-Rissen. Police suspect foul play and have launched a homicide investigation.
Discovery in the woods
Two women walking in a forest near the Falkenstein golf course in Hamburg-Rissen discovered the body on Thursday afternoon. They attempted to revive the man before emergency services arrived, but paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. A crisis intervention team later supported the two women.
Victim identity
Police identified the deceased as 27-year-old Egyptian national Ahmed D. Authorities released a photograph and appealed to the public for information about his residence, workplace, relatives or acquaintances. The investigation is still in its early stages.

Suspicion of violent death
Multiple injuries were found on the body. A forensic autopsy is underway to determine the exact cause and time of death. According to investigators, the body was likely moved to the forest after death and deposited there shortly before it was found. The actual crime scene is believed to be elsewhere.
Search for witnesses
Forensics teams from the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) examined the site into the evening hours, setting up tents due to rain. Police are asking anyone who saw anything unusual near the golf course or who can provide information about Ahmed D. to contact the dedicated tip line.
