The incident took place on a county road segment known as Oświęcimska Street, located within the administrative borders of the Brzeszcze municipality and just a few kilometres outside Oświęcim. According to early police reports, the event transpired around 4:45 in the morning, shortly before 5:00. The driver of an Audi passenger automobile lost control of the vehicle for reasons that have not yet been established by authorities. The car left the paved carriageway, veered off the road surface, and struck a roadside tree with high force.
Emergency response and on-site rescue response
Emergency services received reports of the crash in the early morning and immediately mobilized personnel to the location on Oświęcimska Street.
