The recent hours on Polish roads have been marked by tragic events affecting nearly all regions of the country. The most dramatic accident occurred in the town of Ładna in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, where the driver of a minibus died on National Road No. 94. Equally tragic reports came from the region, where two people died in a head-on collision, and in another incident, a motorcyclist lost his life. Emergency services intervened multiple times in rollover accidents, including one involving a 63-year-old woman who, according to police, was not wearing a seatbelt, which directly contributed to her death. DK94 near Tarnów was blocked for many hours, with shuttle traffic implemented. Simultaneously, major disruptions occurred in the Wrocław metropolitan area. On the A4 motorway, a pile-up involving four vehicles occurred, leading to a paralysis of the route towards the city. Another serious accident took place on a viaduct in Bielany Wrocławskie, where a helicopter from the Air Ambulance Service had to land to transport the injured to hospitals. LPR also intervened in the Pomeranian Voivodeship, where after a head-on collision between two cars in the Główczyce municipality, firefighters had to cut trapped drivers out of the wrecks. According to data from the National Police Headquarters, excessive speed and failure to wear seatbelts have remained the main causes of high mortality in road accidents in Poland for years. Apart from accident reports, Wrocław is grappling with a major heating failure, which has cut off residents from hot water and heating supplies. Despite these difficulties, MPK Wrocław announced a significant step in modernizing public transport. One hundred new Mercedes-Benz Conecto buses have hit the streets, forming part of a broad strategy to replace the rolling stock. The new vehicles are to replace worn-out units, offering passengers higher travel comfort and lower emissions. „Takich autobusów we flocie MPK jeszcze nie było.” (Such buses have never been in the MPK fleet before.) — Representative of MPK Wrocław This investment is crucial for improving the quality of public transport in the capital of Lower Silesia, which regularly struggles with traffic jams generated, among other things, by the aforementioned accidents on the city's outskirts.

Perspektywy mediów: Local media emphasize the investment success and improved quality of life for residents thanks to the new buses. Some portals highlight the growing problem of safety and traffic paralysis in the region due to recurring pile-ups.
