
Russian missile strike on Dnipro kills at least five, wounds 21
A Russian missile struck a private enterprise in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro on Monday morning, killing at least five people and injuring 21, including five in serious condition, according to regional authorities.
The attack
A Russian missile hit a private enterprise in Dnipro, a major industrial city in eastern Ukraine, on the morning of Monday 29 June. The strike caused immediate casualties and damage, with images released by police showing people being evacuated on stretchers and a building with shattered windows.
The enemy struck Dnipro with a missile.
Police initially reported four dead and ten injured. The regional military administration later raised the toll.
Casualty figures
Oleksandr Ganja, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, said on Telegram that at least five people were killed and 21 wounded. Five of the injured were in a serious condition. He posted images showing a blurred body on the ground next to blood stains.
There are already 21 injured in Dnipro.
Broader context
Russia has launched near-daily drone and missile attacks on Ukraine since its full-scale invasion began in February 2022. Ukraine has intensified its own strikes on Russian-occupied territories in recent months. US-mediated negotiations to end the war remain stalled.
