Sprint and hurdle track results
The Kamila Skolimowska Memorial took place at the Silesian Stadium in Chorzow on Sunday as part of the Diamond League series. Poland's Pia Skrzyszowska placed third in 12.64 seconds after competing in Lausanne on Friday.
It is an intense time for me. I recently returned from the European Championships in Birmingham. On Friday I competed in Lausanne and spent all Saturday travelling, but I could not miss Chorzow. The atmosphere is incredible. 12.64 is a good result for this part of the season.
In the women's 100 meters, Melissa Jefferson-Wooden of the United States won with a time of 10.78 seconds. Olympic champion Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia took second in 10.83 seconds, and Sha'Carri Richardson finished third in 10.96 seconds. Poland's Ewa Swoboda finished fifth in 11.00 seconds.
At the Silesian Stadium, the fans carried me. I did not expect it to be so fast, because it is already after the main event of the season. The European Championships in Birmingham cost me a lot. I gave it my all. 11.00 is a good end to the season. I am satisfied. I would like the World Championships final in Beijing next year to look like this.
