In both cases, the buildings were seriously damaged, and their reconstruction will require significant resources. Another serious event was a barn fire in the Bavarian town of Neusitz. The fire, which broke out on Wednesday morning, was so large that soldiers from the Bundeswehr were called in to assist with extinguishing it. Firefighters and the military fought the fire together, highlighting the scale of the challenge. The involvement of the military in firefighting operations within the country is possible in particularly difficult situations when additional manpower and resources are needed, for example, to deliver large quantities of water.
