The Social Insurance Institution has begun implementing the new version of the eZUS portal. From February 23, 2026, access to the modernized contribution payer panel has been granted to 500 thousand randomly selected contribution payers. The system is intended to be more intuitive and transparent, offering smart application wizards that minimize the risk of errors. The remaining users will be included in the new system in the coming days, which is meant to ensure the platform's technological stability.

The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has begun a thorough modernization process of its digital platform, making the new version of the eZUS portal available to a limited group of users. In the first phase, which started on February 23, 2026, half a million randomly selected contribution payers and their cooperating accounting offices can use the portal. According to the institution, the new version of the service was designed with greater transparency and intuitiveness in mind. A key change is the introduction of application wizards, which guide the user step-by-step through the document filling process, informing them about progress and the correctness of submission. This is crucial for reducing the number of erroneous forms, which previously constituted a significant burden for the administration. The Social Insurance Institution was established in 1934 by President Ignacy Mościcki to unify the Polish social insurance system, which had previously been fragmented under the partitions.Parallel to the modernization of IT systems, ZUS reminds about the ongoing application process for the 800+ child-raising benefit for the new benefit period. Parents who submit documents by the end of April will maintain payment continuity and receive the first funds as early as June. The institution also draws attention to the specific payment schedule in March 2026. Due to calendar arrangements where fixed payment dates fall on weekends, transfers will reach beneficiaries earlier – typically on the last working day preceding the set date. In a broader legal context, ZUS is also grappling with new regulations concerning work seniority. Changes in the regulations introduced at the beginning of the year mean that periods of work on contracts of mandate and running a business are now counted towards employee entitlements, such as vacation length or notice periods. This has caused a significant increase in the number of applications for entitlement recalculations. ZUS emphasizes that the gradual implementation of the new eZUS will allow for monitoring system performance under such high customer activity. „Nowe konto płatnika składek będzie bardziej przejrzyste, intuicyjne i dostosowane do codziennych potrzeb przedsiębiorców.” (The new contribution payer account will be more transparent, intuitive, and tailored to the daily needs of entrepreneurs.) — ZUS Statement
