Amazon will invest over 23 billion PLN in Poland between 2026 and 2028, as announced in the company's official statement on March 12, 2026. This announcement coincides with the fifth anniversary of the launch of the Polish version of the e-commerce platform, which debuted in March 2021. According to data provided by PAP Biznes, from the start of its operations in the country in 2012 until the end of 2025, the American e-commerce giant has invested a total of approximately 45 billion PLN in Polish infrastructure. The new funds are to be allocated to further expansion of the logistics network and the implementation of modern technologies supporting sales processes.

A key element of the announced plan will be the opening in 2026 of a new logistics center in Dobromierz in Lower Silesia. This will be the twelfth facility of its kind for the company in Poland, distinguished by a high degree of automation. Inside the center, over 5,000 robots will work alongside the staff in sorting and fulfilling orders. The investment in Dobromierz is expected to generate over 1,000 full-time jobs in its first year of operation, significantly impacting the local job market in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

The operational strategy in the region is overseen by Sławomir Płonka, Regional Director of Operations for Amazon in Central and Eastern Europe, while oversight of the European store network is managed by Vice President Mariangela Marseglia. Company representatives emphasize that Poland remains a strategic point on the continent's logistics map, and the development of the Amazon.pl service requires continuous increases in warehouse capacity. The planned investment cycle until 2028 is intended to strengthen the company's position in the competition for customers in this part of Europe.

Amazon began its presence in Poland in 2012, initially focusing on building logistics centers serving Western markets, primarily Germany. A breakthrough was the launch of the dedicated Amazon.pl platform in March 2021, which allowed direct access to the Polish consumer. By the end of 2025, the company had built a network of 11 logistics centers, investing a total of 45 billion PLN and becoming one of the largest American investors in the country.
