On the eve of the fourth anniversary of the invasion, Russia launched a massive air attack, using nearly 350 drones and missiles. The strikes hit cities including Odesa, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia, causing casualties and power outages. Ukraine responded with a series of precise attacks on Russian rear areas, paralyzing airports in Moscow, destroying arms factories in Udmurtia, and causing fires on the "Friendship" pipeline and at oil pumping stations in Tatarstan.

Massive Shelling of Ukraine

Russia used nearly 350 weapons units against cities such as Odesa and Zaporizhzhia, causing casualties.

Attack on Factory in Udmurtia

Ukrainian drones hit a factory producing ballistic missiles, located deep in Russia's rear.

Fire on the Friendship Pipeline

A drone strike led to an explosion and fire on oil transportation infrastructure.

Belgorod Without Heating

Ukraine's retaliatory attacks led to paralysis of the heating and energy network in a Russian border city.

Russia has intensified its military operations, carrying out one of the most massive attacks since the beginning of the conflict. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the aggressor's forces used nearly 300 drones and 50 missiles of various types, targeting civilian and energy infrastructure. In Odesa, Russian strikes caused civilian deaths and severe damage to residential buildings. This situation forced a response from the Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces in Warsaw, which scrambled Polish and allied fighter jets to secure the country's airspace near the eastern border. Ukraine did not remain idle, initiating a large-scale retaliatory operation on enemy territory. Ukrainian drones once again paralyzed operations at Moscow's airports and struck strategic arms factories. Particularly damaging for Russia was a hit on a ballistic missile factory in Udmurtia, located over 1,000 kilometers from the front line. Furthermore, Ukrainian "Flamingo" missiles hit targets in Tatarstan, where an oil pumping station was disabled. In the Belgorod region, a failure in the heating network left a Russian city without heating in winter conditions. The strategy of attacking energy infrastructure was initiated by Russia in the autumn of 2022 to terrorize the civilian population ahead of winter. Currently, Ukraine, thanks to the development of unmanned technology, is transferring similar operations to the territory of the Russian Federation, targeting its economic potential. Simultaneously, incidents occurred near Lviv, which the services classified as acts of sabotage. Explosions of hidden charges led to the death of a police officer, and the number of injured rose to 25 people. The Ukrainian side accuses Russian services of funding terrorist networks behind the front lines. Kyiv's aerial counteroffensive targeting the "Friendship" pipeline caused a gigantic fire, which could realistically impact the fluidity of energy resource supplies from Russia. „Russia used nearly 300 drones and 50 missiles of various types in this attack.” — Volodymyr Zelenskyy
