Bieg Piastów is the oldest and one of the largest amateur cross-country skiing events in the world, held continuously since 1976. Its route runs along the trails of the Karkonosze and Izera Mountains, and the event attracts thousands of winter sports enthusiasts from around the globe each year. This year's competition was dominated by typical winter, snowy weather. As reported by the media, temperatures dropped below zero, and fresh snowfall created ideal conditions for the athletes.
