Grupa Azoty Expands Fertilizer Portfolio with DuoS Product Containing Sulfur and Calcium

The Polish chemical conglomerate Grupa Azoty has announced the expansion of its product offering with a new, granulated nitrogen-sulfur fertilizer with added calcium called DuoS. This decision is a direct implementation of the company's adopted strategy, according to which the fertilizer segment remains a key and priority area of activity. The company emphasizes that it is precisely on the basis of fertilizer production that it intends to build an organization of a scale allowing it to compete in the European market and to actively support the food security of Poland and the entire region. The introduction of DuoS has been described as another step towards creating a stable and competitive segment that is to form the foundation of Grupa Azoty's operations in the coming years. The new product features a unique formula that combines three essential nutrients: nitrogen, calcium, and sulfur. A particular innovation is the method of delivering sulfur. The fertilizer uses two sources of this element: ammonium sulfate, which ensures immediate availability after application, and anhydrite, from which sulfur is released gradually. As the company explains, this dual-release mechanism aims to better match the supply of the nutrient to the needs of the plants, reduce the risk of its leaching from the soil, and extend the period during which it is available to crops.
